About Us

HBCU Brim was birthed in 2021 to highlight and bring awareness to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) through high quality hats (snapbacks, dad hats, trucker hats), beanies and apparel. 

Christopher Rawlinson, founder and owner, is a graduate of North Carolina Central University and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc.  His love for his HBCU and for hats is the driving force behind why he started this and why he wants to make it a household name.  His first hand college experience allows him to understand the passion behind students, both past and present, who will rep their university and all it stands for.

Christopher uses his creativity and passion to design each mascot so that it's unique to both HBCU's and the college/university that it represents. Chris's goal is to expand on his hats and work towards opening his own hat store.
